After Dark
Muchas veces es difícil escuchar samplers debido a que intentan mostrar toda la oferta de un sello y eso en la mayoría de los casos les da una diversidad que hace que uno no encuentre EL momento para escucharlos.
No es el caso de After Dark, primer compilado de Italians Do It Better que transcurre de forma fluida y es perfecto para cargar en el mp3 player y salir a caminar por la calle.
Si es de noche, mejor.

Map Of Africa
Hay un nuevo hype en 2007, por suerte absolutamente justificado, y viene de la mano de uno de los labels mas interesantes de hoy en dia: Whatever We Want (ver este post).
Se trata del LP debut de Map Of Africa, duo estelar compuesto por el veterano Dj Harvey y Tom Bullock, mitad de los Rub N Tug.
El disco podria ser emparentado con algunas producciones noventosas del sello Mo Wax, aunque esta muy claro q lo de estos chicos esta mas cerca de la psicodelia que del hip hop. Aquellos fans de Beyond The Wizard's Sleeve van a amarlo.
El regalito, dejo la versión instrumental de su tema homónimo no incluida en el disco, si en un lado B de un single totalmente out of stock.

Nos enorgullece anunciarles que este jueves en la terraza de Polite armamos la primer fiesta Djs
Are Persons.
Durante estos primeros 6 meses hemos crecido muchísimo y cumplido nuestro principal objetivo que es el de promocionar músicos y DJs de todo el mundo. Era hora de festejar!
El line up en esta ocasión esta conformado por el legendario Juanma Grillo, DJ residente de Podesta y Polite y por Premini , productor, responsable de DJs Are Persons y también integrante del proyecto Lovely Chords.
Ojalá puedan venir, escuchar algo de musica y relajarse un poco.
Los esperamos.
