Post 2010

...and that was it. 2010 is gone.
I really don't think that 2010 was a relevant year, musically speaking.
2010 gave me the overall feeling of being that kind of period in which all tendencies got established and start to saturate us.
That boredom made me follow two different paths. In the first place I came back to my favorite albums. Those classics that feel like a refuge to stay until you look through the window and see that something exciting is going on outside. Secondly I heard lots of "weird" music: that kind of stuff that you cant tell if is genius or is just a desperate effort to escape towards unexplored territories made by someone who's bored, just like me.
The cyclic behavior in music and fashion causes that kind of years in which all music is post "something". I remember those years in which magazines invented the post rock genre or back in the the late seventies when all was about post punk.
2010 was post ...what?
Obviously I am not saying that 2010 didn't have its own oasis: those musicians that found gold where you only see trash and those bloggers/archeologists that discovered black pearls that must have been huge hits in parallel universes.
BIG THANKS to the all the people who made 2010 a year with surprises!
