The Sleeping Bag Sessions

Si estas leyendo este blog seguro conocerás a Arthur Russell y el aura de culto que lo rodea.
En lo personal nunca he sido un gran fanático de sus discos mas introspectivos y avant garde pero si disfruto mucho de sus trabajos mas bailables y de las grandes producciones que ha hecho para otros artistas en su sello Sleeping Bag.
Acaba de salir a la venta The Sleeping Bag Sessions, un excelente compilado que incluye temas de varios artistas del label. Todos, en mayor o menor medida, tienen el "toque Russell".
Les dejo un "Tiger Stripes" el duo Felix, compuesto por Nicky Siano y Arthur Russell, aunque al parecer este ultimo no quiso ser vinculado al release porque la canción no era de su agrado.
Disco not disco, post punk... llamenlo como quieran.

Por supuesto, el CD se encuentra a la venta en las mejores tiendas y si este año vas a comprar un disco, deberia ser este.

Here's "Tiger Stripes" by Felix, a duo composed by Nicky Siano and Russell. Although the latter apparently didn't wan't to be associated with this release because he didnt like it.
Disco not disco? post punk? ... Call it as you wish.
Of course, the CD is on sale in the usual shops. If you'll buy a record this year. buy this one.
